DANCE THE FAT OFF

So I looked up one hour of aerobic dancing and it burns off around 265 calories. I know this is not amazing, but it's something!! And that's our whole chicken dinner!! Can't wait for a dance party!!

First Day Around Non-Dieting People!

Someone in my office got Hale and Hearty today, which I love. A little depressing, not gonna lie. But, since it would be really pathetic to breakdown on the first day around people who are eating real food, I went to the gym, thought I was going to be sick from 20 minutes on the elliptical and ate a lean cuisine for lunch. In case anyone wants to know, the chicken margherita steamer is, in fact, edible!

Possible Dinner for Tonight

So this is one recipe I thought looked yummy, but I'm cocerned it's not actually that healthy, eventhough it says it's only 244 calories/serving.

Day Two Woohoo!!

I woke up excited for this diet! This is big for me. When I've tried dieting in the past year, each morning I'd wake up thinking I should just kill myself. How am I supposed to go the whole day without eating bad foods? What else is there to live for?? Well, that is not how I feel today. Thanks to all of you for getting me in the right mindset. I honestly think this is going to be a huge success for all. Yesterday honestly was not too difficult for me. The cooking by Nick and Court obviously helped this along. I know there are going to be some tough days ahead, but I am confident that we will all be able to work through those tough days. My scale at home is now working and I think weighing in everyday is going to help me as well. I'm a little concerned with what to eat today. I bought a huge bottle of water and I plan on drinking at least 3 of these. This way, I will spend most of the day peeing in the bathroom and there won't be much time to eat! I had a nutri-grain bar for breakfast. I bought a 220 cals microwavable mac n cheese thing for lunch, but I'm not so sure I should go with that. Any suggestions? Any suggestions on dinner for tonight? Also, does anyone want to have a dance party?? Til we all meet again, thank you and happy dieting!

Day 1 Thoughts

Well day one of my three month diet is in the books and it went much better than I had anticipated! Mostly because I have a great group of friends that values a well cooked, healthy, meal. Breakfast started with a three egg-white omelet with sauted onions and tomatoes. For lunch, Nick made some lettuce wraps using ground turkey, hoisin sauce, and asian vegetables. The lettuce wrap recipe will definitely be a regular meal during my diet. Delicious! And for dinner, my beautiful fiance marinated some chicken in soy sauce and lime juice. If I can eat this well for the rest of my diet, I'll have no problem hitting my target wait in April. Wish me luck!

Day 1 - Tara L.

Currently, I am 834 calories deep, with only 366 left... no exercise today. I'd say it's been kind of a struggle, but it's only the first day. Things will get easier for me when I start my routine and actually get some exercise in. I find my appetite shrinks when I work out. Also, it will help my when stomach adjusts to the appropriate size for my 1200 calorie diet too. I'm feeling pretty optimistic about this challenge. I'm a little nervous for when I go back to school because I won't be around the others who are competing in this challenge. I've talked to a few friends and they are talking about watching what they eat... hopefully I'll have them as support!

Overall, Day 1 has been a good day. I look forward to tomorrow.
